Wellfleet Recreation Department
Each year the Wellfleet Recreation Department offers programs during the OysterFest to provide physical activity opportunities for all ages and to raise funds in support of the Wellfleet Recreation Department.
Pickle Ball Round Robin – Saturday, October 19, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Pickle Ball Round Robin will be held at the Mayo Beach Tennis Courts, 70 Kendrick Avenue. The registration fee is $10 and prizes are awarded to all participants. Oyster 5K Road Race – Sunday October 20, 9 am
Join the 19th annual Shuck n’ Run. Course begins in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot on Rt. 6 and runs along Cove Road to Pilgrim Spring Road, then out to Indian Neck Beach, and back.
Prizes are awarded to first, second and third place, First Wellfleet Resident and First Race Walker male and female! T-shirts limited to first 100 entrants aged 10 and older. All registrations will be done electronically and you can register HERE!
Shirts and numbers will be available for pick up on Friday October 13 from 4-6 PM, and Saturday October 14 from 11 AM- 1PM at the Baker’s Field Recreation Building. It will also be possible to register for the race at this time or on-site Race Day, October 15 from 7:30-8:30 am. All runners who show their race number get free entry into Oysterfest AFTER the race on Sunday only. No free admission on Saturday.

Wellfleet Preservation Hall
Mimosa Bar – October 19 & 20
Escape from the crowds of Main Street and stop by Wellfleet Preservation Hall to enjoy a tasty mimosa, glass of wine and a variety of both sweet and savory treats! The bar will be open in the upstairs Simone Reagor Hall from 10-4 both Saturday and Sunday.

OysterFest Spelling Bee – Saturday, October 19 at 3:00 pm
Test your spelling skills at the annual OysterFest Spelling Bee, with children’s and adult rounds, prizes, and fun! Beekeeper Ed Miller returns with a new list of words this year. Registration form for both Littlenecks (12 and under) and Quahogs (13 and up) available here and at the Wellfleet Public Library, 55 Main Street. Please register by 2:30pm. Littlenecks round begins at 3pm with the Quahogs round to follow.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll scream out loud. A group of older women from diverse backgrounds share their stories, joys, sadness, strengths, weaknesses, and a joint, as they come together to create an original musical review. You can purchase tickets HERE.
