Traveling to the OysterFest

Autumn is a perfect time to visit Cape Cod. Wellfleet is home to some of the world’s best oysters and the region’s most popular fall festival.

The ‘Fest takes place in the heart of Wellfleet Village.  Accommodations within walking distance are The Wagner Inn at Duck Creek and The Holden Inn. Others close by are The Wellfleet Motel, Even’tide Motel and Cottages, Southfleet Motor Inn, Main Stay Motor Inn, Chez Sven B&B, Aunt Sukie’s Bayside B&B, and Pine Moorings Cottages.

SPAT does not endorse specific accommodation or know which ones would have availability so please contact them directly or explore the following websites:

You may also find accommodations in charming towns nearby, including Truro, Eastham, Provincetown and Orleans.

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority has a very good public transportation system. The local Flex line bus operates between Harwich and Provincetown and makes special ‘on request’ stops if called in advance. The Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway operates buses between Logan Airport and Cape Cod.

If you choose to rent a car, frequent shuttle service runs from designated beach parking lots and handicap wheelchair-accessible parking is also available. Sorry, no pets allowed. You can find more parking information here.

As far as we know, campgrounds have closed for the season.  If you find an open campground nearby, please let us know!
