Shellfish Farm Tours 2021

Shellfish Farm Tours are back!

Do you know how shellfish are grown and harvested? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a shellfishermen? Tour a working shellfish farm and learn first hand what is involved in shellfish aquaculture.

SPAT will host a series of farm tours this summer. Participants will wade out to a working aquaculture site and learn how shellfish are cultivated in local waters. Visitors will see various species of shellfish in many different stages of growth.

Tours are $20 per person. Children under 12 are free.  Attendance is limited to 25 people so advance registration is required. Boots or shoes that can get wet are essential! Please no sandals or flip-flops. Shellfish shells are very sharp and could cut bare feet!

Additional information such as tour location will be provided after registration.
